Our family of 5 had an awesome trip with Lars and Jas!! They were so well prepared and very attentive to making sure we had a great time. Lars took us to some amazing places and had lots of great ideas on fun things to do and see. Jas prepared delicious meals and snacks. We were always full. They work great together as a team. We had a lot of fun with them. We highly recommend chartering a trip with them!!

My family of 5 just returned from the most incredible and unforgettable vacation - 6 nights in the BVI/USVI aboard Tortuga with Captain Lars and Chef Jaz. This was our first charter vacation and by far the BEST VACATION our family has experienced. I loved that all we had to do was show up at the dock! All the details were looked after by Lars and Jaz, so for the first time ever as a parent, I was able to thoroughly enjoy ALL aspects of the trip and not worry about any planning. This allowed me to truly slow down and unwind and enjoy this bucket list trip my husband and I had dreamt of taking for 20 years. Everyday was an adventure and we appreciated how patient and engaging Lars and Jaz were with our kids. They're such a dynamic duo - so knowledgeable about the islands and where to find the best snorkeling and most relaxing locations to take in the best sunsets and tuck in to calm waters for the night. Lars kindly introduced us to some fun card games which our kids loved and really enhanced our evening connection time as a family. Thank you, Lars! CHEF JAZ CAN COOK! She delivered 10/10 scratch kitchen meals 3x/day and mixed fun cocktails/mocktails. It was obvious that full attention was paid to our "preference sheet" because my kids ate every meal with a smile and requested recipes for me to copycat when we got home! We celebrated my birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary on the boat and felt the love with the special decorations and meals on each occasion including the most delicious cakes and cupcakes! Accommodations were super comfortable and we all slept well in our private cabins. Seasickness was never an issue, but we took Bonine just in case. This trip exceeded everyone in my family's expectations, created core memories and opened our eyes to a new way of vacationing for the better. The kids built confidence exploring in the water and gained a stronger sense of adventure. I'm forever grateful to have taken this trip on Tortuga and would not hesitate to book another charter with Lars and Jaz in the future.

We had an absolutely incredible trip with Gusto Sailing, and it was all thanks to our phenomenal crew, Lars and Jaz! They went completely above and beyond to make our vacation seamless, relaxing, and deeply memorable. Lars is a master captain who made us feel safe and comfortable and took our family on numerous snorkeling adventures to some of the most incredible, breathtaking spots. His knowledge of the area and dedication to showing us the best marine life made every excursion a highlight. Jaz is an exceptional host and chef whose cooking is out of this world—every single meal and snack she prepared was absolutely amazing. What truly sets them apart is their warmth and thoughtfulness. We were celebrating both my wife’s birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary, and Lars and Jaz went out of their way to make us feel special. The trip couldn’t have gone any better. Lars took us to great snorkeling locations, beautiful beaches, cool hiking trails, and we had crazy good views sailing. At night, we were always in calm bays to sleep. Jaz cooked amazingly good food. The whole time was Relaxing and fun.

Recently, I took a much needed vacation and stayed aboard the Tortuga catamaran for a full week and had an incredible time. Captain Lars and Chef/First Mate Jaz are a very fun and talented crew who made sure we were eating well and seeing great sights and spots around the Virgin Islands. They handled getting in and out of the BVIs no problem. We snorkeled almost every day and saw sea turtles and so many beautiful fish and wildlife. The views were stunning sailing around and just relaxing. With kayaking, paddle boards, and windsurfing gear there's plenty of ways to find the adventure that's for you. Chef Jaz was on top of it cooking up a delicious storm – thank you Jaz! There was plenty of sunscreen and refreshments available, whatever you need is there. The beds were also very plush and supportive. Superb experience, can't wait to do it again!

Jaz and Lars are the best!!! We had a wonderful time and it has been one of our best vacations! They are super knowledgeable about the area and took us along for all the fun activities and spots. Jaz’s food was amazing - we had a couple of vegan friends and she managed all the diet needs with super yummy meals and dessert everyday! Everything was super organized and well taken care of on our little adventure! We’ll definitely come back!

I can't say enough about how awesome our trip was with Jaz and Lars. They were so fun to spend time with and they were on top of every detail of the trip: fun daily itineraries snorkeling and seeing all sorts of hidden corners of the islands, delicious meals from Jaz (she even accommodated vegetarians and vegans on the trip), extremely comfortable accomodations. They created a special experience for us that I will remember forever. Highly recommended!

Out of This World Experience!!!!!! If you don’t book this trip, you will regret it. The adventures are great, you just can’t replicate it. The two crew team are top of the class. Set sail with them and experience something world class! This was by far the best vacation I have ever been on and it was all due to the expertise of Lars and Jasmine! Everyday brought a new adventure at sea and on land. They are truly a great team.

Sailing the BVI with Captain Lars and Chef Jaz was over and beyond any of my expectations! They were the most hospitable hosts from the moment we arrived on their beautiful, comfortable and spacious catamaran! Captain Lars is a calm, confident and knowledgeable sailor! While fishing in the deep ocean, a storm came up with high winds and rough conditions. I felt entirely safe and at ease! It didn’t last long and was an exciting experience! Chef Jaz creates delicious, healthy dishes at every meal! She does her homework to make sure that the food meets her guests palate. Our group caught lots of fish which she prepared perfectly!!! Every day brought a new fun-filled adventure in a different location…. From a reggae concert in St. John, hiking on Norman Island, exploring Anagada, seeing beautiful fish and turtles while snorkeling, the Baths, having fun with all the water toys …. And of course the spectacular views!! If you’re considering a sailing trip with an awesome crew that will exceed your expectations, book a trip on the Tortuga!! Tammy

We had the absolute joy of sailing through the BVI with Captain Lars and Jaz on our very first charter, and it was truly one of the most special experiences our family has ever had. We are a family of six with four daughters, and from the very beginning, Lars and Jaz made us feel completely at home. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine care for our family were evident in everything they did. Captain Lars is an exceptional sailor—calm, confident, and incredibly knowledgeable. We always felt safe and relaxed, which allowed us to fully enjoy every moment. He also made sure there was never a dull moment, setting up water toys and creating so much fun for our girls throughout the trip. Chef Jaz is nothing short of amazing. Every single meal was thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious—each one felt special and something we looked forward to every day. One moment that meant the world to us: due to a canceled flight, our 16-year-old daughter had to fly in a day early on her own. Lars and Jaz met her at the airport, took her under their wing, and cared for her until we arrived the next day. As parents, we cannot express how much that meant to us. That level of kindness and responsibility goes far beyond what you expect—it truly speaks to the kind of people they are. We were also their very first charter on their new boat, Tortuga, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A week with Lars and Jaz was the best! They have such good energy and are clearly a wonderful team with plenty of experience. That experience came in handy as we had a couple days of nasty weather (totally out of their control) and yet the whole time I felt entirely safe and comfortable and they didn't even bat an eyelash at the tougher sailing conditions. Also the rough weather was made easier to be bear by the great vibes and super yummy food prepared by Jaz the whole trip. On the beautiful days they navigated us to some awesome spots where we got to play with so many different toys while exploring the area. As an example, on one of the days when we were anchored at a beautiful bay, I went out on one of the paddle boards and saw some turtles about 30 minutes in. I hurried back and grabbed some of the awesome snorkling gear and was able to find the turtles again for a magical snorkling experience! The boat was also beautiful and comfortable with enough space to have some quiet time for reading and as well as great shared spaces to bond with friends and family. I can't recommend Lars and Jaz enough and will definitely be back!

We had an such an amazing time with Lars and Jaz! Awesome anchorages, crystal clear water, and lots of turtles! The food was local and delicious. Everything was tailored to whatever we wanted to do. We'll be back next year.
