LARS

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Lars started dinghy sailing on local lakes at a summer sailing camp at the age of 9 where he eventually took the reins as head counselor. He put down roots in Austin, Texas doing engineering for 7 years before his sailing itch resurfaced when a friend (quite easily) convinced him to buy his first blue water sailboat in Florida in 2012. After burning all his vacation days exploring the Bahamas he set his sights on a proper sea sabbatical doing a year long trip on a 39ft Beneteau where he and some 34 friends sailed the full Caribbean chain from Florida to Trinidad and back. On returning, however, with little desire to go back to a desk job he repacked his bags, shifted gears, and started working on 100ft performance sailing yachts as watchleader and engineer. After more than 8 years and many miles sailed in the Pacific, Caribbean and Mediterranean waters, he found he missed the freedom of sailing smaller boats so with Jasmine as his partner in crime, they set off running sailing charters.

JAZ

Jasmine grew up a true east coast baby, born in Pennsylvania, raised in Baltimore and North Carolina, before joining her family eventually in Florida. Her background is in exercise and fitness, and early in life she lived in NYC as a personal trainer, then a yoga studio owner in Key West. She grew up diving and fishing with her Dad, and later learned to sail with her Mom, ripping around the harbors of Key West in Hobie Cats. Finding professional yachting as a career allowed her an opportunity to combine her eclectic repertoire of life skills including craft cocktailing and hospitality with a passion for the sea. She completed French culinary training in order to step into her chef shoes, and loves experimenting in the galley with fresh and local ingredients.
